Championship week is here! While your Mizfits aren’t in the hunt this year, we have so much to look forward to at the end of this season.

We have 9 amazingly talented All-Americans who were selected for National team. Representing the Mizfits on the first team, we’ll have Jessica Phelps, Jamie Lock, and Rachel Calar taking on the American team this season. All of these ladies have had an amazing season and really were leaders for us. We’re very proud to know they’ll be rocking out on the field this Saturday.

We’re already looking forward to the next season. Leadership has been working hard to prepare for the coming 2020 season.

This year we’ll be hosting our first ever Mizfit Interest Meeting! We noticed that some shy away from the idea of full-tackle football and even more may have no idea what we do or how many ways they can participate. We wanted to provide an opportunity for those interested in the sport to learn more about what we do, meet the players, and ask any of those burning questions before coming to tryouts. Keep an eye out for more details and information regarding the interest meeting in the coming weeks.

Tryouts are coming too! We’ll be starting up our round of tryouts in August. We’ll give as many opportunities to come show us what you have, so if you’re interested, please make sure to attend one or more of these tryouts. We’ll have more information here as we finalize locations and dates.

As for the ending of the 2019 season, we have much left to be desired. With so many odds stacked against us (weather), we had to be perfect to make it to the big dance. We’re down, but never out. We plan to make the 2020 season our year to show why the Mizfits are serious contenders for the WFA championship.
