Mizfits Regroup After Heartbreaking Loss Against Conference Rivals

The Mizfits are in recovery mode after suffering a tough loss to the Derby City Dynamite. The Mizfits drop to 2-1 as we head into our second bye week of the season. Despite the score, the Mizfits didn’t give up the fight throughout all 4 quarters in Jeffersonville, IN. We’ll be working harder this week to make a comeback on June 5th.

After a 3-hour drive to the Hoosier state, the Mizfits were set to take down the Dynamite in what many expect to be a first look at playoffs. Missing a few key players and a few other key ingredients played a part in the loss, but the biggest battle for the Mizfits will be themselves. The first couple of games in the season were against good teams and Music City was able to dominate both opponents. However, the Derby City Dynamite have always been a hurdle and a deciding factor in how the season will play out. With that amount of pressure, the Mizfits are still looking for the perfect mix to bring the rivalry back to life.

Despite the loss, the Mizfits defense was able to get a few big stops to prevent a huge upset. However the Dynamite were able to get a lot of ball movement with the run game. The Mizfits will have to find a way to get a stop in the backfield and keep the momentum going. We also welcomed back QB Tessa Ortiz-Marsh who will be instrumental in revamping the offensive game.

Overall, the Mizfits are down, but not out. Due to circumstances outside of our control, the Mizfits will not be playing on May 29th and will instead meet the Sizzle for the second time this season on June 5th. Be sure to check the page for updates, highlights, and more Mizfit News!
